5/5/07 Happy Cinco De Mayo
Today's run was advertised at 22 miles but push came to shove, the snow piled up, my feet got soggy and the run was shortened to 13 miles on the Meuller Park Trail.
It went all right, I suppose, I was sluggishly putting up 11 to 12 minute miles. It was all I could do.
Mainly I blame the snow. It started to dump just as I started to run and by the time I was to the top of the hill, there was a good six inches of sloppy wet snow on the ground.
The feeling in my white and wrinkled feet as they came back to life after their soaking inspired me to ask Fish for new gore-tex trail runners for my birthday.
